How do I create a bootable system diskette?

Certain computer operations or processes require a bootable system diskette (e.g. file patches, BIOS updates, and certain drivers).  A computer system running  Windows 95 or Windows 98 is required for this procedure. To create a bootable system diskette follow the steps below:

Caution: This procedure will permanently erase any information on the diskette.

  1. Insert a blank diskette into the A drive
  2. Open the My Computer application on the desktop
  3. Right click on, 3 1/2 Floppy (A:) and select Format
  4. Select  Full and Copy system files ( Display summary is selected by default, this is optional )
  5. Select Start
  6. When the process is finished select Close

The diskette is now a bootable system diskette ready for use.
