When upgrading or doing a clean install of Windows 2000 Professional, the modem will not be detected until the Windows 2000 Professional audio driver is installed.
We suggest following the following procedures for optimum performance and reliability:
Installing the Video Driver
- Download the video driver to your HDD
- Double click on the file to install
- Click Next
- Click yes to restart your computer.
- When the computer restarts, go to Start, Settings, Control Panel
- In Control Panel, double-click Display
- In Display, click on the Settings tab.
- Change the color and screen area as needed.
Note: In order for the modem to be detected you should load the audio drivers first.
Installing the Audio Driver
- Download the audio driver to your HDD
- Double click on file to install
- Click the Setup button
- Click Next
- When the question, "Do you want to continue the Installation?" appears, click Yes
- When the "Found new hardware wizard" appears explaining that the modem has detected, click Cancel.
Installing the Modem Driver
- Download the modem driver to your HDD
- Double click on the file
- Click Unzip to install the driver
- Click OK
- Click OK
- When the "Do you want to continue the installation?" box appears, click Yes.
The modem will install. |
