Wireless Connection Drops, Renegotiates, Connects Every Few Minutes

Please follow the steps below in order to correct the issue of the wireless connection dropping and renegotiating every few minutes.

  1. Open the Network Connections folder.
  2. Right-click on the icon for the wireless connection and select "Properties".
  3. Click on the "Authentication" tab.
  4. Uncheck the "Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network" checkbox.
  5. Click "OK" on all dialogs that are open to save the settings.
  6. Test and verify that the connection holds.
