TravelMate C100

USB External CDROM Is Not Recognized

To ensure that the external USB CD-ROM is recognized, you will need to connect and power the CD-ROM prior to booting the notebook.  Follow the directions below to correctly connect the CD-ROM.

  1. Plug the CD-ROM USB cable into the TravelMate C100 USB port.
  2. Plug the CD-ROM adaptor into AC power and ensure that it is connected to the CD-ROM drive.
  3. Move the power switch on the right side of the CD-ROM to the "on" position. A green light will appear on top of the drive to indicate that it is powered on.
