Older telephony applications such as America Online (AOL) version 4 or earlier are only able to see COM ports 1 through 4. There is a modem driver update available for this model that allows you to change the modem from COM 5 to COM 2. This modem driver update can be downloaded from the Travelmate 505 Downloadable Files section.
Please note: While the user defined option under the Modem properties shows COM ports 1 through 16, we recommend you use the default setting, which is Com port 2. |
