Memory is expandable up to a maximum of 1024 MB, employing 256 / 512MB industry-standard soDIMMs (Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Modules). The computer supports DDR (Double Data Rate) RAM. |

Note: Be sure that you have run ScanDisk and Defrag before installing additional memory. |

- Small Phillips-head screwdriver
- Memory upgrade module

Installing Memory |
|
|
The computer has one memory slot that is user-upgradeable from the bottom of the computer. To install memory, follow these steps: |
|
|
- Turn off the computer, unplug the AC adapter (if connected) and remove the battery
- Turn the computer over to access its base.
- Remove the screws from the memory door (a);
then lift up and remove the memory door (b). |
|
|

|
|
|
- Insert the memory module diagonally into the slot (a), then gently press down (b) until it clicks into place.
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
- Replace the memory door and secure it with the screws.
- Reinstall the battery pack.
- Reconnect the AC adapter.
- Turn on the computer.
The computer automatically detects and reconfigures the total memory size. |
