TravelMate C110

Reprogramming Tablet Buttons to Activate Wireless

Acer has provided a utility called WCHANGE.EXE that gives you the ability to enable and disable the wireless network adapter in Tablet PC mode. Install the updated wchange.exe utility from the Drivers and Downloads area. Follow the steps below to reprogram a tablet button for wireless LAN.

  1. Double-click on "Change Tablet and Pen Settings".
  2. Select the Tablet Buttons tab.
  3. Find the drop-down menu to select which of the orientations you would like to make changes to. All of the orientations can be adjusted at once with "All Orientations" or you can set them individually.
  4. The bottom half of the page shows Tablet buttons and their corresponding actions. Choose the button to be used for the Invilink button and click Change.
  5. Scroll down and click "Launch an Application".
  6. Type in the location for wchange.exe or click Browse to search for wchange.exe (should be located at c:\windows\system32\wchange.exe).
  7. Click OK to confirm this designation for the selected button.
  8. Click "Apply" for the new settings to take effect.
