Installing Memory |

There are two memory slots on your computer, one of which is occupied by standard memory. You can upgrade memory by installing a memory module into the other available slot.
Note: Be sure that you have run ScanDisk and Defrag before installing additional memory.
To install memory, follow these steps: |
- Turn off the computer
- Unplug the AC adapter (if connected)
- Remove the battery pack
- Turn the computer over to access its base
- Remove the screw(s) from the memory door (a)
- Lift up and remove the memory door (b)
- Insert the memory module diagonally into the slot, then gently press down until it clicks into place.
- Replace the memory door and secure it with the screw(s)
- Reinstall the battery pack
- Reconnect the AC adapter
- Turn on the computer.
The computer automatically detects and reconfigures the total memory size. |
